'Bogan Ville' dig[edit]

Hi LibNatBios. I have deleted the section about a parliamentarian's use of a 'Bogan Ville' dig, and how this was Higgie's idea. The cited ABC article, Rudd brushes off 'Bogan Ville' dig, does not mention Mark Higgie at all. Seems to be speculation or original research the claim that this was his doing. If you can find a reliable source for this and think that it's worth putting into an encyclopedia, by all means, but it shouldn't be there without a source.

Please look at:

Trade policy paragraph[edit]

I have deleted a paragraph about the Coalition's trade policy, which the articled claimed "Higgie was closely involved" with. The sources provided do not mention Higgie. Again, please look at Wikipedia:No original research. These claims can be included if you have sources that show this is the case, otherwise it should be omitted. Clare. Colombo plan and changes to defence spending[edit]

I have deleted a paragraph that claims Higgie worked on the New Colombo Plan policy and on the a commitment to increase defence spending to 2% of GDP, as it appears to be original research. The News.com.au source cited, Coalition pledges to 'rebuild' defence force, vowing to restore defence spending, does not mention Higgie at all. Clare. (talk) 23:24, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi User:Gulargambone1. I have deleted your paragraph that claims Higgie worked on the New Colombo Plan policy and on the a commitment to increase defence spending to 2% of GDP. It appears to be original research. The stated sources do not mention Higgie at all. Please see some guidance on this at Wikipedia:No original research. Clare.
