QPM

The police medal is awarded in a moment in time. An actual tangible object, bearing the reigning monarch image. It is not an ongoing status or office such as that of Queen's Counsel immediately becoming King's Counsel. Those that have been awarded have been awarded as the medal was at that point in time. It doesn't change just because for subsequent awards they stopped awarding the "King's Police and Fire Services Medal" and awarded separate medals for police and the fire services, or in this case the reigning monarch is now a King so the medals being awarded is now the King's medal instead of the Queen's medal. You can see that by looking at how the government refers to previous recipient such as in this April 2023 article on gov.uk on the appointment of inspectors of police & fire service — "Lee Freeman KPM and Michelle Skeer QPM". -- KTC (talk) 15:34, 18 August 2023 (UTC)

Rowley has faced high-profile calls to resign because of the force’s threat to arrest an “openly Jewish” man, Gideon Falter, the chief executive of the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism, while he was in the visual presence of a Palestine rally in London. Wikipedia does not base content on whatever some random contributor thinks is 'context'. That is precisely what WP:SYNTH is about. Anyway, I see that Hemiauchenia has now added content on this matter, which appears to describe the events in a more balanced manner (and without copy-pasting phrases from a source). this does not sound right, it was not a "request", it was a threat to arrest him and that him looking "openly jewish" was a provocation. what hemi wrote doesnt seem to hit the balance.

I really don't think we need a long quote from Falter. It's not like Rowley actually personally said it, and I think the quote from Sunak is enough. Hemiauchenia (talk) 15:31, 10 September 2024 (UTC)

Falter's opinion is much less relevant than that of Rishi Sunak the literal Prime Minister, and quoting his opinion at length as if it's equivalent in weight to Sunak's is undue. Hemiauchenia (talk) 16:41, 10 September 2024 (UTC)

theyre both a sentence each in quotation. also falter is the direct victim here, not a random person. i disagree that his opinion is less relevant, he is the one affected while sunak is commenting from second hand but authority NotQualified (talk) 16:53, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
