Fair use rationale for Image:Mcrenshaw sgh.jpg[edit]

Image:Mcrenshaw sgh.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Cover[edit]

How can the Robert Gordon version of "Someday, Someway" be a cover, if it was released before Crenshaw's own version? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.223.217.219 (talk) 10:12, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Error[edit]

Marshall Crenshaw did not play Buddy Holly in the movie La Bamba. That was actor Lou Diamond Phillips. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amybedow (talkcontribs) 19:32, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oops[edit]

I did the edit today 11-13-13 that added the Live Album addition of "Live From the Stone Pony (2003) - Six song Bonus Audio Disc from the King Biscuit DVD of the same name." I wasn't logged-in. Sorry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Albabe (talkcontribs) 23:11, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Update to include MC's latest recording projects?[edit]

Hello there. My apols, but I'm new here. Has anyone thought of updating Crenshaw's article to include his latest recording ventures? I believe the details are available on his website and other sources. As I understand it, Marshall has committed to recording six EPs of three songs each, to be released over a two-year period. Two or three of these EPs are already available. It's a DIY, subscription-only project, allowing Marshall to bypass the record companies. Each release will include a new song, a cover version, and a reworking of an old original (if I understand correctly). I believe an update to his entry is warranted, because his discography does not end with the 2009 "Jaggedland." Thanks for listening to my suggestion.

Change to reference[edit]

I have changed reference number 1 external link to 429 records.com. I have changed it to archive org version, as someone bought 429records.com and changed it to affiliate website. So it is no more connected to 429 records. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mark.barkan (talkcontribs) 11:08, 13 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
