(Milan?)

[edit]

It may have been Jose Pablo's mother a Castiglione who was from Milan by some accounts he was born at Panama. RichardBond (talk) 10:58, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don Guiseppe de Castiglione (*30.03.1828), 8° Marchese di Castiglione e Signore di Pessano (1843), Patrizio Milanese, was married with Maria Martinez del Rio. María de los Dolores Martínez del Río Pedemonte (*1845) was the eldest daugter of José Pablo Martínez del Río (1809-1882). (Dr. Ralf G. Jose Pablo

[edit]

I tagged for cleanup in part for lack of a lead section -- WTF, did someone carry out a merge proposal that was so incoherant that no reasoning was given for what made 2 articles had in common that made them appropriate to become one? Is that someone's way of saying that the page should have been renamed to the section title?
And why does Jose Pablo Martinez del Rio-Castiglione link from Castiglione to Martinez del Rio, and from Martinez del Rio simply to Maximilian I of Mexico -- not even with a section spec? His only mention there seems to be in the parenthetical in the first sent of Maximilian_I_of_Mexico#Offer_of_a_Mexican_crown:

— members of the Mexican nobility, led by local nobleman José Pablo Martínez del Río

where the lk is to the Martínez del Río family, not to him.
Is the implication that he is so insignificant that he's not even worth a bio-stub?
I think i'll wait 24 hours for someone qualified to edit this to come forward, and then license myself to look briefly at the edit histories, then BOLDly exercise my skill at recognizing messes with or without subject knowledge, at least by starting a stub and retargeting some links.
