Middle name with one "t"

[edit]

Reading Jean Edward Smith's bio of Eisenhower, I found Governor Conner's middle name to be spelled "Sennet." (Sennet turns out to be the nephew of Fox Conner, who is famous now as an early mentor of Eisenhower's.)

A leading historian of Mississippi, David Sansing, also spells it with one "t."

Based on two reputable historians, then, I venture that the name is "Sennet" until shown otherwise.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to correct the spelling in the article's title. Any help there is appreciated.

Done Good work catching that. It's not so hard to move pages; there should be a drop down menu on the upper right side with a little down arrow that has move as one of its choices.— alf laylah wa laylah (talk) 01:18, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
