Two competing versions

[edit]

Let's talk, Dodo553673733.

I'll kick it off. In this edit of 31 October, I returned the article to the state it was in before your wholesale deletion of referenced material and addition of unreferenced and often promotional material. I explain this in the edit summary.

In this pair of edits about twelve hours later, you remove referenced material and add unreferenced and often promotional material.

Please explain why. (Do you perhaps want the article to be promotional?)

Your additions include this (unreferenced) oddity:

“Helio Oticica: To Organize Delerium,” Whitney Museum, Art Institute of Chicago, Philadelphia Museum of Art. Traveling retrospective featuring 30 of my photographs of the South Bronx, alongside 30 photographs Helio took when he visited me working with gangs in the South Bronx, 2017

Even aside from its other problems, I think that your version of the article needs the "Autobiography" template attached.

Your comments? -- Hoary (talk) 13:34, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Paging other (logged in, non-bot) editors of this article this year: Rodw, Mandarax, MarnetteD, Lopifalko. Your comments would be welcome. -- Hoary (talk) 22:28, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Hoary: I came acros this because I am making articles for women artists in the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Looking at the article, the user Dodo553673733 is clearly the subject or an employee promoting a certain version. I have no doubt that it is COI editing. They managed to slip in their heavily promotional version since your message above; I have reverted back to your neutral version. Possibly (talk) 06:35, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, Possibly. See below. -- Hoary (talk) 07:54, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

As argued above, it's clear that Dodo553673733, repeatedly a contributor of promotional bulk to this article, has a conflict of interest. And therefore I'm about to tag the article for CoI. Dodo553673733 or anybody else is welcome to argue here for the removal of this template. -- Hoary (talk) 07:54, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Good call. Possibly (talk) 08:16, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
