Bank of Liverpool History

[edit]

See Bank of Liverpool talk page for discussion on the relationship with the Martins Bank article

Bebington (talk) 13:29, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have now inserted three paragraphs on the early history of Martins Bank. I have recast the introduction to tie in - incidentally, I can find no reference to Gresham starting the Bank, merely trading under the Grasshopper sign.

Despite the fact that Liverpool actually shortened its name to Martins, the history of the Bank after 1918 is really that of the Bank of Liverpool and should be contained there - I am going to extend it shortly. I don't like deleting other editors contributions but I think much of the later sections of Martins could be edited down. Bebington (talk) 12:04, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
