Nice article, I just think the paragraph about the lawsuit needed clarification. How did a judge dismiss Shawn Michaels from the suit but then he was still held 5% liable? --Bobak 22:52, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Read it again, it doesn't mention Michaels as being held liable.

Got it now. --Bobak 21:48, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So who botched the move?

[edit]

The article says that Jannetty botched the rocker-dropper because Charles Austin didn't know how to take the move, so which is it? I guess since the judge ruled against him, Jannetty was the one who messed up. Can anyone clarify? Alexforcefive 22:17, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not neccesarily. It could be that Austin botched the move but the judge held WWF responsible for putting him in the situation when he wasn't prepared...

How is the WWF's fault that the fool didn't know the basics of his trade? Considering that they go over matches beforehand so that everyone knows how it's supposed to go, surely the dude knew he was going to get Rocker-Dropped and was warned ahead of time that it would occur. Maybe the judge was just stupid. I hate to tell all the authority worshipers on here, but judges and the like are often just as dumb and corrupt as everyone else. --- —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.103.144.16 (talk) 20:25, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia question

[edit]

Do any of you think that a trivia section should be added here and under that do you think that it should be added that he used the same theme as the Hollywood Blondes when he was in WCW? -- Cabrosa 17 April 2007

No, per WP:TRIVIA. Hezekiah957 (talk) 04:50, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

XWF

[edit]

Marty did some tapings with the XWF. Should there be a mention of it somewhere in the article? (203.222.110.46 (talk) 06:24, 21 November 2007 (UTC))[reply]

The wikipedia article and this page seem to use a lot of similar language 76.88.41.216 (talk) 21:37, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Start date.

[edit]

Article says he debuted in April 1984. I just watched an episode of Mid-South wrestling that aired on 10/1/83 where he teamed with his 'brother' Jerry Oates under the name Marty Oates. Don't know anything else about his earlier career, but his debut date appears to be incorrect. (Episode is available on WWE network) Kdg977 (talk) 23:00, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Under professional wrestling career then under world championship wrestling (1998) it says he made his debut on the 17th January on WCW Saturday night and then made his Nitro debut days later but he actually made his debut on Nitro on the 12th January where he won a match vs Black Cat Gingedc (talk) 08:23, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
