Article name

[edit]

Why does this article use the French name on the English Wikipedia? Shouldn't this article be moved to Martyr's Square? — George Saliba [talk] 22:45, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm moving this article to Martyrs' Square, per naming policy. A quick google search of "Martyrs Square" Lebanon yields 39,800 results, while "Place des Martyrs" Lebanon only returns 599. — George Saliba [talk] 22:18, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Names of the martyrs

[edit]

Can someone in Lebanon go to the plate on the memorial and take a photo of the plate showing the names of the martyrs? I would appreciate it if the names were written here and when this article is expanded because there is a lot of history behind the story which lead to the murder of the leaders. I will do some research and collect reference material to include here in time.7aresslubnan 10:09, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Update required

[edit]

I agree with the previous post, the names of the martyrs are quite important. Can someone do as 7aresslubnan suggests? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.240.204.160 (talk) 01:56, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Misspelling

[edit]

"El Burj" or "Place de Cannon" in the 1930s. This caption seems to contain a misspelling. "Cannon" in French should be "Canon". METRANGOLO1 (talk) 07:20, 21 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
