non-neutral POV

[edit]

The facts in the article seem basically OK, but I don't think it conforms to NPOV

Suggestions

[edit]

I tried to be as factual as possible. What additions/subtractions would you suggest to improve compliance with neutral point of view? Thanks!

Suggestions

[edit]

The wife, mother, grandmother facts sounded a little like campaign literature (though I don't dispute their accuracy). Maine native was arguably more relevant, so I left it in.

I also deleted the word unconstitutional. If you've got a good neutral cite to back that up, then you might reinsert it, but it should be adequately cited. Was the statewide property tax *alleged* to be unconstitutional? Was it *adjudicted* as such? I'm a little hazy on the particulars here, so something more specific would be helpful, assuming it's deemed consistent with NPOV to leave it in.

Also, there's a metion of the Rockefeller Award with no description or context. What is that? If it's a significant and meaningful award (which I think it might indeed be) then it should have a wikipedia entry (not that I'm asking you to make one, but it should be flagged as awaiting an entry).

Thanks for your work on this.

Fair use rationale for Image:Maryadams.jpg

[edit]

Image:Maryadams.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
