Location of death

[edit]

There is some commentary in the article about the place of death and where she was staying, it is clear from reports that she died at 126 Smithdown Road, which is the hospital. It was usual practice to list the place of death as an address rather then use the name of the hospital (this can also be seen in birth records). It is likely that she died or was pronounced dead at the hospital. Her husband is shown as dying at "Carnegie First Aid Post, Cambridge Street, Liverpool. His address was given as "Derby House" in the probate index and Mary was listed with a London address. Highly unlikely that they were killed at the bombed house "together" as claimed in the DYK. Cremation or burial

[edit]

This article previously stated that Mary Lawson was buried at Kirkdale Cemetery, however there is no record of this in the cemetery registers despite her husband being buried there. Contemporary newspapers state that she was cremated at Landican Crematorium in Birkenhead, I have amended the article accordingly. PC78 (talk) 20:43, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
