"Marysville High School claims to be the oldest U.S. high school west of the Mississippi River [this claim may be in error], it opened its doors in 1871. It was the first feeder school to UC Berkeley [which the same source claims is the oldest college west of the Mississippi, established in 1868--this is an error, as a number of colleges west of the Mississippi pre-date Berkeley]."

Marysville Charter Academy for the Arts
[edit]Why does MHS have an article, but MCAA (Marysville Charter Academy for the Arts), a California Distinguished school does not? MCAA is one of the best schools in the state. MHS is just full of fututre hobos. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.166.0.75 (talk) 19:43, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
