Incidents

Someone removed the overkill incidents and accidents section, and I'm just adding here that I completely agree with this change. I tried to level with the person adding these, but it did not seem to work. NO other transit page includes such an overdone section, so if you can't do it right, it doesn't belong here. "On..."

It's happening again. Every paragraph is basically a reporting starting with "On (insert date)..." This is not standard for how we do wiki pages. Go look at similar transit articles and see how they are written. This comes across as very amateurish, as if the writers don't know of any other way to form a sentence or paragraph. I don't mean to be mean, but it really just needs an entire rewrite and reorganization, and would can really guide that is going to look at other transit agency articles. I mean, first, the opening paragraph is too long; it needs to be simple, clear and concise. There needs to be a overview (i.e. a sentence or paragraph or two of the beginnings of the agency), services, and route section. First two could be combined. Routes are usually placed in a chart. And not everything needs to be framed as sequential news pieces; a lot of that would be solved with the route chart. Everything doesn't need a date; as routes are added or subtracted, you can simply take them in or out of the chart/table, otherwise, you'd literally going to keep having every new route added as an additional "In" or "On" sentence. I split off the lede section into another section called Description. The special services aren't fixed, they go to where the people are based on who scheduled a ride, basically specialized taxi services. The fleet upgrades section isn't about specific routes either, it's about grant money for new equipment/facilities, etc. I updated the language to past tense on both though. Also there used to be a route chart, but someone took them out saying it violated the travel guide part of WP:NOTGUIDE. TomCat4680 (talk) 19:16, 1 October 2018 (UTC)
