Draft for editor review

[edit]

Hello! I work for Massage Envy and want to share some improvements to the company's Wikipedia article, which is currently very underdeveloped and focused almost exclusively on sexual misconduct allegations. There is much more company history to tell.

I recognize I have a conflict of interest, so I've saved a draft for editors to consider here: User:TCollinsEnvy/Massage Envy. You'll see I've left the sexual misconduct allegations mostly alone, but added an update the show what actions Massage Envy has taken in an attempt to address the problem. I believe the newly added content is neutral and appropriately sourced. Beyond the update to the allegations section, I've drafted a corporate overview summarizing the company's business model, services and leadership, expanded the history, and created subsections about marketing and sponsorships. All of the content is supported by reliable secondary sources to the best of my knowledge, and I've tried to be as neutral as possible. The current article has just 7 sources, one of which is the Massage Envy website, and the draft has 30 sources. I hope editors will see this an an improvement.

Can an editor review my proposed draft and copy over the updated and expanded text? I'm avoiding editing the article because of my conflict of interest, and appreciate any help or feedback. Thank you! User: TCollinsEnvy, March 12, 2019, 2 pm MST

 Done Changes implemented. --Jordano53 (talk) 23:58, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Jordano53: Hey, thanks! I noticed you kept the original misconduct accusations content at the bottom of the article. You'll notice this has been included in the "History" section (see third paragraph), along with the company's response. If you're ok with the content in the "History" section, can the original misconduct accusations content be removed now? Thanks. TCollinsEnvy (talk) 14:37, 21 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Jordano53 (talk) 20:34, 21 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks once again for your help. TCollinsEnvy (talk) 16:46, 22 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of ownership

[edit]

Not a wikipedia editor, so not going to get out of my lane so I figured I'd leave this here. ME has changed hands at least 2 times (maybe 3). Roark Capital Group purchased the company in '12. I think they still own it. A smaller equity firm purchased when they were ~300 units.
