General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: Yes
  • Interesting: Yes
  • Other problems: Yes
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Article is new enough, long enough, is neutral and is plagiarism free (its names that Earwig is picking up). The hook is cited and interesting. A QPQ is done. However I have a couple of points:

  • Hook: question - should 'inexplicit' be replaced with implicit? I use British English, so I'm not sure it that's a word from another English variant.
  • Citations: Amazon isn't a reliable soure, so the information cited there needs to be referenced from elsehwere (see [[1]]). Bearing that in mind I also think the page needs further secondary sourcing, particularly to more reviews and criticism of Nordvig's work to firmly establish notability, e.g here, here, here. At present, I'm not certaint the sources firmly establish notability. Reviews of the podcast from reliable sources would also be beneficial. Thanks for the work on the article so far! Lajmmoore: I changed to implicit and added info from the sources you pointed to. Amazon was the best (least bad) source I found for his year of birth. RS/P says that user reviews are unreliable sources, but that "Amazon is a reliable source for basic information about a work". This is not about a work, but I think it applies the same. Otherwise, I can just leave out the year (Greenland is mentioned elsewhere). There are multiple reliable, secondary sources with significant coverage in the article, so notability should be fine. I don't think there are any professional reviews of his podcasts, but they don't need to be independently notable to be relevant in his biography. Ffranc (talk) 14:26, 20 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ffranc, thanks very much! I think it's best to leave out Amazon, since, as you say, the information isn't about a work. Let me know when that's done. Are there sources about the podcast in Scandinavian languages? Lajmmoore (talk) 16:10, 20 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I removed it. Will look out for better sources to replace it with. I haven't found any Scandinavian sources about the podcasts. Ffranc (talk) 13:46, 21 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for removing Amazon. These sources that review the podcast look OK to me (in english too!) - here (academic blog) & here Lajmmoore (talk) 18:06, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Lajmmoore: I added them. Ffranc (talk) 13:17, 24 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
