Birthplace

[edit]

Matthew was not born in Uvalde, TX. He says he was, but he wasn't. He moved there at a fairly young age, and didn't even live there that long.

What's the source of this claim? Balon Greyjoy (talk) 08:02, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Harrelson as a brother

[edit]

Surely McConaughey’s mother would have known if she’d been pregnant and given birth a second time?! 154.61.155.100 (talk) 10:00, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

McConaughey's Birthday Not Listed?

[edit]

His birthday isn't listed next to "Born:" under his profile picture. Weirdly, it doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere on this page, although he is included in Wikipedia's list of 1969 birthdays. That doesn't seem to be the standard based on what I can tell from other prominent people's pages. I know there is discussion around his birth place, but IMDB (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000190/bio/), Britannica (https://www.britannica.com/biography/Matthew-McConaughey), and every other source that talks about it seems to agree that it is November 4, 1969. This would make him 54 on the day of this entry. It seems to me that piece of information should also be listed in the same spot, as with other pages. I can't edit this because its semi-protected. please fix!! Brandonlicata (talk) 02:38, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Living people need a particularly high standard of citing, per WP:DOB. Imdb is not a reliable source, but EB is probably OK, although better to have 2 reliable sources (WP:RS).
Unfortunately info like this is too easily copied from one source to another on the internet without an original good source, so don't assume that frequency = reliability! Laterthanyouthink (talk) 12:53, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Drinking Coffee And Watching The Rain

[edit]

What about the viral YouTube video of him drinking coffee and watching the rain? Isn't that what he's best known for? 70.26.26.106 (talk) 15:50, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
