Onion article

[edit]

I deleted the part about the Onion article....it was about another child poet...not Mattie.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.198.85.46 (talkcontribs) 21:45, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Onion article continues to be re-inserted. Until it can be verified that it is "a thinly-veiled criticism of Stepanek" the assertation should not be allowed in the Wikipedia article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kathimcgraw (talkcontribs) 12:44, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Mdastepanek smile.jpg

[edit]

Image:Mdastepanek smile.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Music Through Heartsongs

[edit]

In 2003, singer Billy Gilman released an album called Music Through Heartsongs: Songs Based on the Poems of Mattie J.T. Stepanek. The album reached number 15 on the U.S. Top Country chart and 109 on the US Billboard 200.

I just thought that should be included in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.220.10.3 (talk) 23:40, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Muscular Dystrophy

[edit]

Removing "a rare form of M...D....". Mitochondrial Myopathy is not related to MD. MDA raises money for both conditions, but one, MD, is a muscle wasting disease, the other is related to Mitochondrial function. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bodhisagan (talkcontribs) 18:53, 3 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, looking at this MDA page, they raise money for a range of neuromuscular diseases. Note that the the senate resolution, which I've just linked to, says: "...a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy—Dysautonomic Mitochondrial Myopathy.". Looks like an unfortunate confusion, but while the cause may be very different, the effect (myopathy = disease of the muscles) are similar. Snori (talk) 09:00, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
