Missing history[edit]

The "history" section jumps from the 1850s to the 1970s as if nothing of note happened for over a century. Meanwhile, the demographic history indicates that something happened in the mid-20th century, when the population tripled in a couple decades. And the unsourced material that closes the section is Chamber-of-Commerce-style happytalk that seems inconsistent with the declining population since the 1970s.
