Sewer and drain system scandal[edit]

In December 30th 1988, Juan Carlos Rousselot, the mayor of the Morón county, approved the company SIDECO, a company owned by the Macri's family, to build a sewer and drain system for all the people living in the county. Franco Macri, Mauricio's father, was the head of the company and it was Mauricio itself who was in charge of the agreement.

Mauricio Macri and Juan Carlos Rousselot signing the sewer and drain system for the Moron's county

70 days after signing the agreement, the contract was canceled by the county due to corruption suspicion:

  • The cost that the county was supposed to pay ended up being significantly higher than expected
  • The service was way too expensive for the people
  • There was a lack of bidders for public tendering and this process was suspiciously very short
  • There was a lot of money missing without any clue

Will look at this shortly Векочел (talk) 14:53, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"By April 2019, inflation had reached 55%. Prices for public utilities, fixed since 2002 despite the high inflation, were gradually restored to market figures." This statement needs a citation Векочел (talk) 18:20, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Векочел and Cambalachero: This hasn't really got going. Is there any way to get it moving? AIRcorn (talk) 08:01, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Aircorn: I wonder that myself. The nominator has not edited since August. Векочел (talk) 11:19, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I guess you could fail it and if they return they could renominate it (it is up to you how detailed a review you leave). If you think it is close I have no problem with a reviewer making minor changes to get it over the line. After all this is all about improving the article. Another option I have used is asking someone else to take over the nomination. Wikiproject Argentina is probably your best bet. AIRcorn (talk) 17:41, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It looks fine now. Passing. Векочел (talk) 21:57, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 9 March 2024[edit]

Change “Preceded by: Nicolas Maduro” to “Preceded by: Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.” Change “Succeeded by: Evo Morales” to “Succeeded by Alberto Fernández.” 2600:381:FEE0:10E2:DEA:3D31:AD62:66D6 (talk) 23:31, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: This part of the infobox is about his tenure as president pro tempore of the Union of South American Nations, not as president of Argentina. The current information is correct. Jamedeus (talk) 00:41, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
