All other biographies don't mention Jewishness(is this a word) in first sentence. From a review of other Jewish folks, this doesn't seem standard. I saw Howard Cosell also did this but not many others. There are so many others, however, I didn't check them all. Any thoughts on appropriateness of mentioning this in FIRST line. Is this really the most defining characteristic of Maury??? What is the "norm" when it comes to this??68.99.154.144 01:05, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Some do...If we state heritage in the first line, that's the same thing, as "Jewish" also refers to an ethnic background (not just religion). Go to Judith Light's article, and you can see the same. Michael 05:23, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Maury is not Charles Manson...someone should probably remove that entire section beneath the "Current Affair" headline —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.188.159.92 (talk) 19:20, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Maury Povich Show

[edit]

Criticism: Freak show, exploitation of more or less handicapped persons for the entertainment of the uneducated masses, performed by a sadistic carrot-and-stick host who obviously enjoys torturing his victims. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.143.47.228 (talk) 07:48, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I did note that Maury's son-in-law, David Agus, founded a genetics firm that Maury uses on his show for paternity testing. 71.225.112.233 (talk) 17:24, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Should this be Updated?
