Requested move 17 September 2017

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: not moved. On a related note, I will create Max (musician) as a redirect towards Max#Personal names as a {{R from incomplete disambiguation}}. (non-admin closure) Steel1943 (talk) 17:40, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Max SchneiderMax (musician) – He is known mononymously for his singing career. JE98 (talk) 18:33, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

And it redirects to a different article.--67.68.21.146 (talk) 04:32, 18 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. Max (Korean singer) vs Max (American singer) And moving it will require discussion there due to 00:54, 2 October 2011‎ Andrewa (talk | contribs)‎ . . (22 bytes) (+22)‎ . . (moved Max (singer) to Changmin: RM) (thank) In ictu oculi (talk) 08:29, 18 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Guess what, in books "commonly known as Max" hits Max (Portuguese singer) In ictu oculi (talk) 16:41, 18 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. The disambiguator isn't necessary when he is also known by his real name. Per WP:NAMINGCRITERIA, "Max Schneider" is precise and natural, unlike Max (musician). Also, he isn't just a musician, but an actor as well, so the disambiguator may not be accurate. The disambiguator titles without nationality should redirect to Max. — Zawl 12:31, 23 September 2017 (UTC).[reply]
  • Oppose and support redirecting the titles without nationality to the DAB. I see one has been done. The DAB structure doesn't look ideal to me... those who impatiently click on Music in the TOC may miss the Personal names entries. Andrewa (talk) 18:44, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

Proposed merge with Max (Portuguese singer)

[edit]

I'm fairly certain these are the same singers with different articles but I can't know for sure due to the lack of sources presented here. I think a merge may be best here. Redditaddict69 (talk) (contribs) 05:08, 9 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It's clear to see that the portuguese singer page has been changed/vandalised to look like max Schneider who is not a portuguese singer, page should be restored and protected. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.244.203.157 (talk) 07:47, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
