Names in the lede

[edit]

@Salihu Aliyu: Please do not add the names to the lede, they are already included in the "victims" section. In addition, the news reports (or at least the most reliable ones) do say that IPOB members were generally suspected/believed to have been the attackers, but this is not fully confirmed. It's okay! I understand. S Ahmad Fulani|talk 16:34, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Salihu Aliyu: I hope that I am not discouraging you. When I said that you can add details to the articles, I really meant it. However, frontloading the first two sentences with the names of victims is usually not done in massacre articles. If you do find more victim names, however, or reports on how exactly the murders took place, you can - and should - add them to the article. Generally speaking, details are most fitting for the main section - in this case, the "Killings" and "Victims" parts. Applodion (talk) 16:38, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

But @Applodion you removed all the citations! S Ahmad Fulani|talk 19:40, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I only did so, as most of the references were copies of one another. If three sources say the same thing, we only need one of the three. Applodion (talk) 21:04, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
