Heavy Bias and Disinformation Present in This Article[edit]

Hi @Ainty Painty:. If you continue to vandalize this article by spreading disinformation through repeatedly biasing the narrative and censoring information because you find it offensive, you too can also be blocked from editing. You did not need to PM me about this; this conversation could have happened here.

This article contains many, many unreliable sources and reads as though every single detail is known, and also reads as a plan that is to be carried out, or is being carried out, by the Pakistan Army and government.


Bias: "The May 9 riots or 9/5 riots were a series of violent incidents that took place on 9 May 2023, in Pakistan. "

Reality: These were not riots. Rather, they were peaceful protests whereby the Pakistan Army and the police responded by firing tear gas and live bullets onto unarmed protestors, killing many including children, abducting and torturing PTI political workers, protestors, and journalists, breaking into the homes of protestors and PTI political workers without warrant. Your renaming of the article from "Protests" to "Riots" shows you are attempting to spread a false narrative.

Reality: Imran Khan was illegally arrested. This sentence glazes over this as if it wasn't illegal.

Bias: "The government, under the direction of Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, claimed to have proof of Khan's participation and accused him of being the mastermind behind the assaults."

Reality: There is zero evidence for Rana's claims and the sources you have provided neither back up Rana's claims too.


Bias: "The PTI-organized protests descended into violence, causing extensive havoc and damage. Arson, vandalism, and assaults on governmental and military facilities were committed by protesters. Anti-terrorism legislation was used, and numerous prosecutions were filed against those responsible for the riots."

Reality: As opposed to the actual reality of the Pakistan Army and police firing tear gas and live bullets onto unarmed protestors, killing many including children, abducting and torturing PTI political workers, protestors, and journalists, breaking into the homes of protestors and PTI political workers without warrant?

Reality: "Many of these arrests were illegal, and most were abducted and tortured, as opposed to being kidnapped.

Bias: "The administration attempted to transfer a number of cases to military courts for trial due to the seriousness of the crimes committed during the May 9 riots. Four accused people involved in targeting defense sites had their transfer allowed by an anti-terrorism court in Faisalabad, while eight accused people involved in the attack on the General Headquarters (GHQ) had their transfer granted by an ATC in Rawalpindi. Additionally, the commanding officer received 16 suspects, among them an ex-PTI Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA), who was charged with looting and vandalizing Jinnah House in Lahore."

Reality: Human rights organizations have condemned the Pakistan Army's use of military courts.


Again, many parts of this article go into too much detail, which makes the whole article reading as a plan and gives the notion that many points are fabricated in order to promote a narrative. Many of the linked sources are unreliable too.

Several changes have been made to this page which shows only the POV of government and not the opposition. This hinders the right to true information of public. In the Media Censorship section, there seems to have been someone adding the following:

"Imran khan was accused of brain-washing the masses with lies and fake new for his own benefit by blaming the Pakistani army. Even though Imran khan has failed to prove any of these allegations. He was accused of trying to hide his mistakes during his tenure and the downfall of economy, he came up with a new conspiracy theory to avoid losing his vote-bank."
