Let's figure this mayor thing out

@2605:B100:34A:BC69:3E87:18EA:9862:D8E9: @CT55555:

CT55555, it looks like you added a mayor of Cambridge to the infobox. The IP user believes the new mayor is Matt Reimer, which seems accurate, according to this page.

Am I missing something? Pyrrho the Skipper (talk) 16:53, 7 November 2022 (UTC)

Oops, my edit was in error. Sorry for that. I think your statement above is correct. CT55555 (talk) 19:06, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
I've fixed my earlier error, thanks for pointing that out. CT55555 (talk) 20:01, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
No, the IP was claiming that the leader is "Stephen Mclean" [1] (and presumably the earlier [2] also). The long protection on the page has ended and this is likely another sock of the user that caused the protection. Meters (talk) 20:42, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
Ah right. I got them mixed up. CT5555 made an honest mistake, but IP editor was indeed being disruptive. Pyrrho the Skipper (talk) 21:03, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
Hmm, maybe it is McLean?

I'm not sure the IP is being disruptive, seems like the edits are correct, just not well covered in the news? I'm assuming good faith all round here (and thanks Pyrrho, for assuming good faith with regards to my error/errors). CT55555 (talk) 21:06, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
My updated understanding of this situation is that probably the town website is out of date (very recent election) but he Ontario election website is likely accurately representing the recent change. I'm going to update (a third time, sorry) based on that, but anyone please say if they disagree, or revert. CT55555 (talk) 21:07, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for digging, and the AGF reminder. I struck my "disruptive" comment. Pyrrho the Skipper (talk) 22:07, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
I agree with the new source. It does appear that the township's website is behind the times. I also agree with Pyrrho's original post. Some of the IP's edits to this page were clearly disruptive. Twice the IP copied unrelated posts by other users, complete with their signatures, to this page, for example [3] [4] Meters (talk) 07:00, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
The mayor is Bonita Culhane now. 2605:B100:D21:135F:DEF1:175F:F1B6:4BF4 (talk) 12:17, 29 October 2023 (UTC)
What's your point? That's what the article says. Maybe you should actually read the article before before posting to the talk page? Meters (talk) 06:24, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
