dead horses[edit]

If we want to include animals among famous (infamous) dead people what does it say about our priorieties ? "Famous" dead horse is just a dead horse that was making money for its owner. Too bad people made it run for their own entertainment. Breeding animals to make money,to make them look cute ? What does it say about our civilization? Besides if I am not mistaken a horse is not build to be burdened by a rider (weak spine). Disambiguation[edit]

In my field of work (oil and mineral exploration), I come across the name McKelvey in connection with Vincent Ellis McKelvey, one-time director of the USGS. It's also connected with a diagram he popularized, the McKelvey box (or McKelvey diagram, though I've never heard it called that myself). A Google search indicates this is perhaps a better-known use than the racehorse. What's the best way to disambiguate here?
