Mechanical engineering drawing[edit]

I just noticed the

ISO 128-24:1999 Technical drawings -- General principles of presentation -- Part 24: Lines on mechanical engineering drawings

is using the term "mechanical engineering drawing", which I guess, could be considered a simialar to "Mechanical systems drawing"? -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 01:53, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The two terms are different. Mechanical engineering drawing is for manufactured items; whereas, mechanical systems drawing refers to either HVAC or plumbing systems in a working drawing set.

Hmmm?? It seems to me this article is unfocussed as well, see here. You stated:

  • A mechanical systems drawing, a type of technical drawing, shows information about architectural mechanical systems such as HVAC systems

It seems to me it should be:

  • A mechanical systems drawing, a type of technical drawing, shows information about mechanical systems such as architectural HVAC systems. Such mechanical system can be part of a building, a car, a installation, a ship etc.
