Course changes[edit]

The article has this:

The course has changed several times through the years. Up until 2019, the marathon course started runners in Byron, Minnesota.

That isn't true. The original Med-City course started and ended in Rochester. I don't know when it was changed to start in Byron, but I think it was around 2007. SlowJog (talk) 22:02, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Management changes[edit]

The error about course changes has been corrected in the body, but remains in the lede. Also, the Rochester Family Y wasn't exactly the major sponsor -- The Family Y was the the managing organization, as well as the presenter. (The presenter is the major sponsor.)

When Med-City Marathon began in 1996, Wally and Peg Arnold were the race directors. After 2006, they wished to retire, and the Family Y took over race management in 2007, the same year the starting line was moved to Byron. A few (how many?) years later, the Y decided they no longer wanted to handle race management. In order to prevent Med-City Marathon from coming to an end, Wally and Peg Arnold returned as race directors. SlowJog (talk) 12:26, 8 July 2020 (UTC) (I am not a reliable source)[reply]
