Reorganization[edit]

This article is in major need of reorganization. Bullets need to be re-organized as proper section headings. I will try to start the process, but I cannot do it alone. Also, please feel free to make any changes you see necessary to this end. NJ (talk) 21:04, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

article[edit]

did some edits....but needs refs, more trimming, maybe split into 2 article...--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 19:36, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, see the ref (now #1) I added from a high-quality 2016 text on the kidney - it indicates at least 4 genes that can if mutated lead to this disorder; thus, the emphasis on MUC1 seems undue. — soupvector (talk) 07:35, 3 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I think the emphasis on Wake Forest may be undue, unless there are secondary sources indicating that the institution is uniquely dedicated to this disease - perhaps it is, but the emphasis seems overly strong. — soupvector (talk) 07:51, 3 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The two sections simply repeated the same wording. Having combined back into one. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 08:04, 3 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

soupvector I agree with you about the Wake Forest part. It's too one-sided. We need to investigate it further. NJ (talk) 17:52, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The first sentence of the Signs and Symptoms section may need to be double-checked. It states "There are only two characteristics of the disease", but lists only chronic kidney disease. Is there another characteristic that should be listed? NJ (talk) 18:08, 8 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
