This states at the very beginning of the article that a megacity is defined as a "city" with a population of 10 million people or more. That is not correct. A megacity is defined as a "metropolitan area" of 10 million people or more, not a "city" of 10 million people or more. New York City, Los Angeles, London, Paris, none of these cities have a population of 10 million people. But they are megacities because their metropolitan populations are at least 10 million people.
