NPOV[edit]

Lots of NPOV content here, in particular the comments about the movie Brain Donors --90.192.92.202 00:51, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thats OK though isn't it? Wikipedia strives for NPOV... NPOV is fundamental for ALL articles. I too commend who ever wrote this article for the NPOV content. Keep up the good work. Malbolge 16:02, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Latymer Upper was not a private or fee-paying school when Smith attended . It became a Private School in the mid-70s. He would have passed the 11-Plus in 1963-4 and applied to go to Latymer Upper Grammar School (a direct grant Grammar School). I can say this with certainty as I could have applied to go there, my cousin did go there but I chose the alternative Hammersmith Grammar School. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Victor Middlesex 3 (talkcontribs) 18:17, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mastermind[edit]

Mel Smith was on Mastmind just now, he did very well on his specialist subject of Shakespeare. His voice was very strange though like he had a broken nose. Does anyone know what has happened to him? johnnybriggs (talk) 20:12, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that too. Sounded like a speech defect but it seems odd to develop one in middle age. RAK (talk) 20:29, 31 December 2008 (UTC) Update - there is a long discussion on this at http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/674919-Is-Mel-Smith-ill RAK (talk) 13:14, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Goodies[edit]

IMDB is the citation for his guest appearance as a chat show host. DavidFarmbrough (talk) 03:11, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Heart attack?[edit]

Are there any citations for the death in Feb 2010? I can't find any report that he died! --Oliver Nouther (talk) 07:11, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed as heart attack death by heart attack(Coachtripfan (talk) 14:52, 20 July 2013 (UTC))[reply]

Alas Smith, that's kind of spooky (2010 entry). (I didn't know that he had recently died until just a few minutes ago.)70.238.222.237 (talk) 01:40, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
