Gymnocarpic and stipitocarpic[edit]

I replaced the sentence "Development gymnocarpic and stipitocarpic." with a remark that there is no veil. I think that the original sentence was difficult to understand and would need more explanation. I think "gymnocarpic" means that the hymenium develops without protecting tissue, which could mean that there is no veil (true here). I think "stipitocarpic" means that the hymenium develops at the end of a stipe, as with all agarics - not relevant at this taxonomic level. Strobilomyces (talk) 16:21, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
