Good article to use for convention centre. http://www.reuters.com/article/pressRelease/idUS147636+02-Sep-2009+BW20090902 Chumchum14 (talk) 07:35, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Here's another one. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/the-melbourne-convention-centre-sets-a-new-global-standard-for-sustainability-2009-09-02 Chumchum14 (talk) 14:19, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Accuracy

[edit]

The articles states: The old Convention Centre on the opposite side of the Yarra River was opened in May 1990 and has hosted thousands of conventions and meetings.[4] The building was originally intended to be used by the Melbourne Museum but Jeff Kennett intervened during construction to have the building used as a convention centre.

Jeff Kennett became premier in 1992 so how could he have intervened during construction of a building which opened in May 1990? Scou3821 (talk) 02:32, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed - proposed Melbourne Museum was on the southern bank of the river, on what is now the Exhibition Centre. Wongm (talk) 04:52, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
