Note to Mirv

[edit]

According to the Deletion Log, Mirv deleted this article on March 2 for no apparent reason. Why? Robbstrd 21:08, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

because the content at the time was not an article: it looked like an attempt at, or a copy of, correspondence with someone named Melf. I'll send you a copy of it if you want. —Charles P._(Mirv) 21:55, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please--I'd be interested in seeing it. --Robbstrd 23:42, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
check your talk page. —Charles P._(Mirv) 23:57, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In case you were wondering about the [citation needed] on the origin of the name,

[edit]

According to Luke Gygax the name was because it rhymed with "Elf" and was fun to say, not because it said "Male Elf" on his sheet: http://www.garycon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=5467#p5467, which of course suggests the citation is needed for a good reason--as it is wrong. 128.4.231.172 (talk) 22:43, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like a good idea to remove it, then! 129.33.19.254 (talk) 23:07, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

MELF disease not mentioned?

[edit]

See here: http://www.rightdiagnosis.com/medical/melf.htm . Also known as Lafora disease. Could and indeed should be mentioned here... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.4.164.1 (talk) 03:39, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Another spell by Melf

[edit]

I recall reading (I think in Dragon, or maybe Dungeon magazine) that there was also "Melf's Rancid Arrow", a joke spell to be sure, but a spell by Melf none the less. MarkSmith1313 (talk) 08:01, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you can find the issue number, we can add it.  ;) 2601:D:B482:CCE0:89AB:207C:74D1:8073 (talk) 15:28, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I believe MarkSmith1313 was thinking of the joke spell called "Pelf's Rancid Arrow" from Dragon #204 (the April 1994 issue). Algolei (talk) 05:02, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
