Top 20 seems a little bit excessive. Wouldn't it be better to limit it to top 10? Every time I see updates only the top 10 is mentioned. - Ïvana (talk) 14:26, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Melon (online music service)MelOn – Per request move of Wei request move case, we should use MelOn instead of Melon as Wikipedia is not exist to modify unusual caplitzations. Plus, MelOn redirect here. 1Way4Together - J. Smile | Please comment on content, not on me 06:14, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If disagree, then I think I shall change redirect target of MelOn to disambiguation page. 1Way4Together - J. Smile | Please comment on content, not on me 06:18, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment The disambiguating phrase ("qualifier") can be shortened, for example to Melon (service) or Melon (retailer). 85.67.32.244 (talk) 07:58, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. No evidence from its website (almost exclusively in the Korean alphabet) that the "O" is capitalised, therefore WP:SMALLDETAILS does not apply. The only uses of this stylisation are in the references, and there the only one where "MelOn" is linked is as part of the title of a citation for a link titled "Shin Won-soo, representing Korea's largest OMS, "MelOn" which links to a site in Korean titled "신원수…국내 최대 음원 서비스 ‘멜론’ 로엔엔터테인먼트 대표". (That should really be the title of the {{cite news}}, with the English as the trans-title). The logo uses lowercase "O" with some kind of raised dot that does not appear to be a recognised diacritical mark in any romanization of Korean; WP:UE says "If there is no established English-language treatment for a name, translate it if this can be done without loss of accuracy and with greater understanding for the English-speaking reader"; I would infer that "Melon" meets that criterion best.
Melon Music Awards is so written, and only has three instances of "MelOn", again in citations: two to allpop.com (in English) from 2013 and one from a Japanese website that actually says "Melon", not "MelOn" (although it does say "MelOn MUSIC AWARDS" elsewhere; kana (Japanese syllabaries), do not have separate uppercase and lowercase, but JP:WP has them as "jp:Melon (音楽サービス) (the qualifier translates as "music service") and jp:Melon Music Awards anyway, with the names in the Latin alphabet, although it does use "MelOn" in places.
TL:DR; "MelOn" has never been the WP:COMMONNAME for this organisation. 85.67.32.244 (talk) 07:58, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose: Melon is no longer styled as MelOn as evidenced through their website title Melon::음악이 필요한 순간, 멜론 which can also seen when searching through Top 3 search engine such Google (1st result), Bing (2nd result), and DuckDuckGo (2nd result). Data from search engine are simply pulled by the search engine scrapping tools which would automatically search through the website coding for relevant <meta> tag. You also don't see "MelOn" used on their official SNS accounts such as Twitter and Instagram even though both platforms doesn't have any styling restriction for the profile name/description. Even 2021 news report from reliable sources as defined by WP:KO/RS#R, such as to name 4: Korea JoongAng Daily, Yonhap News Agency, Korea Herald, and The Korea Times uses Melon as oppose to "MelOn".
TLDR, "MelOn" is no looking being used hence this move request is irrelevant. However, I would instead propose moving to Melon (service) since there isn't any other article related to services hence the extra online music disambiguation is unnecessary. Melon (music service) may balance WP:CONCISE and WP:PRECISE better. 85.67.32.244 (talk) 08:40, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Achievement section

[edit]

Regarding the Achievements section, as the sources primarily align with WP:PSTS and appear to be original research WP:OR, I suggest either removing it or substituting it with secondary sources for enhanced credibility. Lililolol (talk) 18:30, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
