South Murchison[edit]

The existing page Electoral district of South Murchison and the masterlist User:Orderinchaos/Electorates has South Murchison being abolished prior to 1901. Should Rason's district be something else? Digestible (talk) 10:33, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nah it's fine - 1899 was the act which abolished it, which took effect at the 1901 election. Orderinchaos 11:15, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps I should have said in 1901. This is the parliament following the 1901 election. According to the Cornthwaite Rason page, he held the seat of Guildford at this time. Digestible (talk) 12:04, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oops - my bad. Copypasta to blame again :) Checked Black & Bolton and it says 1901-1906 guildford. Orderinchaos 15:44, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Denis Doherty[edit]

Why did Doherty only serve until 1903? Digestible (talk) 16:48, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Black & Bolton p 65 just says "- Aug 1903 (resigned)". text suggests he returned to England. 26 Aug 03 by-election was won by John Ferguson by 6 votes against Labor's James Ives. (Black & Prescott p105) Ferguson was defeated by Bolton in 1904. Thanks for pointing this out - seems we were missing an MP! Orderinchaos 02:55, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. Now added to Electoral district of North Fremantle. Digestible (talk) 03:21, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
