The Hindu article

[edit]

"The film was a melodrama about a loving couple separating due to the evil designs of some envious persons and their re-union after much anguish. The screenplay and dialogue were written by the talented writer and filmmaker A. T. Krishnaswami ( Sabapathi, Vidyapathi and Arivaali ). Lalitha played the heroine, while Ragini was the Muslim woman, an important character in the movie. Padmini appeared in dance sequences along with noted dancer Kushalakumari. Ramachandran, a member of the NSK theatre unit, who made a name as a character actor specialising in villain roles, played a major role in this movie. A much talented actor, he somehow did not get the recognition he richly deserved.

I'm concerned that this info will be lost if the link breaks as so often happens to sources. In ictu oculi (talk) 11:14, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your interest. The article page is archived, so no fear of dead url.--UKSharma3 (User | talk | Contribs) 00:19, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Will it still be archived in 5 years time? Also is the film not called மேனகை @Uksharma3:? In ictu oculi (talk) 16:05, 2 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@In ictu oculi: archive.is, like Wikipedia, is a permanent site that archives millions, if not billions of pages. There is no time limit. Anyway, now that you have recorded the information in this talk page, it is available for anyone who wants to do a research. As for the name in Tamil, all the cited pages have given the name as Menaka, even Film News Anandan's database in Tamil has written the name as மேனகா.--UKSharma3 (User | talk | Contribs) 00:24, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
