the ranking "the 100 greatest" is very subjective and some calculators at present should be of course included in such a list, otherwise it is a non sense. Since there is no way to measure "the greatness" of a calculator(lack of documentation, differences between the witnesses and the calculations, and so on), no ranking makes sense there.

Agreed. `'mikka 22:51, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Added John Von Neumann to the list since the great amount of anecdotes that exist about his extremely fast mental calculation abilities (see main article on him). I think Gauss might be considered as well. 84.197.23.139 04:32, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gauss should be added.--Jondel 14:00, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Good mental calculators have constantly been referred to as 'mathematical prodigies'(In the introduction, in the 'Matilda' part, etc.).This degradation of the term 'maths' to represent calculations is, for most part, barbaric, as maths is, in some sense, everything but calculations. It must be removed immediately. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Siddharth110200 (talkcontribs) 13:18, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
