Still Baptist?

The article is listed in the "Universities and colleges affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention" category, but U.S. News says Meredith has no religious affiliation.[1] I can't seem to find anything conclusive on their website, but they do offer a "Thomas Meredith Baptist Heritage Scholarship" in recognition of their "rich Baptist history."[2] It also references "other Baptist-founded organizations in North Carolina" in a news article, but that could be a historical reference based on the wording.[3] The viewbook they sent me doesn't mention the SBC (or any religion) anywhere.

Does anyone know what the current status is? I can't seem to find an exact answer anywhere, but if they told U.S. News they're unaffiliated, I tend to believe that. Beginning 01:18, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Just to add to that, this list appears to be give that are historically Baptist, not officially. In fact, our own says that. In light of this, I've removed the school from that category (for now), but would still like to know the official answer. Beginning 03:14, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

As a student at Meredith College, I can tell you that Meredith no longer has a Baptist affiliation. It used to, which MAY make it a "historically Baptist college", but it no longer has official connections to the Baptist church. (Plexplex 15:19, 28 June 2006 (UTC))

Image of university

I took an image today (3/30/2013) of one of the buildings on Meredith's campus. If someone would like to upload it to the Wikimedia Commons for me, please tag it appropriately and credit me. I can fill a specific image request if one is needed. http://i.imgur.com/rSKZJhs.jpg Cgb628 (talk) 07:20, 1 April 2013 (UTC)

Cutting parts of "Student Life" section

If "Ring Dinner" is indeed "one of the most important traditions at Meredith College," then there should be some reference to in from an outside source. It seems trivial, I propose deleting it. Another weak spot in this section is the Meredith College Honor Code. What does it contain? If this remains without sourcing, it should be deleted. -- Melchior2006 (talk) 20:44, 1 March 2023 (UTC)

Since nobody chimed in, I will streamline some. --Melchior2006 (talk) 19:38, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
