Merge

[edit]

If Merengue cibaeño is another term for Perico ripiao, shouldn't it redirect here? - AKeen 15:41, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah they're the same thing. I agree, let's merge it. Cancionista78 18:02, 1 August 2007 (UTC)Cancionista78[reply]

I merged the two - AKeen 18:12, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but which one is more widley known? I would have said it was the former title. Asteriontalk 10:20, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's a good point. Perhaps there should be a discussion as to what should be the main page name for this article, and what should be the redirect pages. Merengue típico gets more Google hits than Perico Ripiao. Any others have ideas? - AKeen 16:26, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah you guys could try that but maybe we should just leave as is people will be able to find it with a redirect Cancionista78 23:19, 6 August 2007 (UTC)Cancionista78[reply]

Merengue Tipico is not perico ripiao, they are 2 differetn things with similar roots. it's liek saying metal is hard rock becuase they sound similar to your ear. As a Dominican this article is full or inaccuracies — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.224.153.161 (talk) 15:04, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
