Clowesville, later Garden City -- Clowesville significant because the Queens County Courthouse (& Queens County seat) were located there from 1788 (or so) until 1874 (or so) - though larger general area became known as Mineola around 1858 --JimWae (talk) 02:52, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Info on the former Clowesville (LIRR station) was added in Mid-March 2010. ----DanTD (talk) 11:27, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ah. Having scanned the article in haste, I was there 14 hours ago and couldn't find a memorial. Now I see that it is ephemeral. Photo opportunities will be most probable in early December when bicycling will also present less danger of dehydration. Jim.henderson (talk) 04:51, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Jim, I was in the same boat as you when I took the pictures of this station in April 2011. If I don't get them first on my next vacation up north, could you try Bellerose (LIRR station), Hollis (LIRR station), and possibly some remaining stations without images on the Babylon Branch? ----DanTD (talk) 17:44, 7 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
