Parts of the diagram may well be marked with red; I can't see them. I'm colourblind, and even when I zoomed in on the screen using my MacOS accessibility options, I couldn't find the red. I don't doubt it's there... I can't see it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.97.222.28 (talk) 23:43, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Can't anyone find better images than these? They are terrible — Preceding unsigned comment added by 18.111.87.163 (talk) 00:54, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

looks like the picture recently added is proposed for deletion over copyright concerns. If it does end up staying, someone needs to resize it. LogicalFinance33 (talk) 01:02, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Proposed merge with Transverse mesocolon

The useful information on the article Transverse mesocolon can readily be presented in the main article Mesentery. This will reduce duplication and fragmentation, and help readers by presenting all the information in a single article, rather than piecemeal. The mesentery article is not long by Wikipedia standards and, if at a later date expands significantly, the merged content could be re-expanded Tom (LT) (talk) 22:55, 4 October 2014 (UTC)

I think I am inclined to agree with a merge....Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 05:19, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Actually, just looked up Grays - tricky as mesentery can refer strictly to "mesentery proper", which is just of small bowel, or inclusive of mesoappendix and mesocolon. I'd be inclined to hear what other doctors have to say on the matter. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 05:26, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for your edits, Cas. I think it would make the series a lot more readable to have them on a single article, and (I suspect) lead to a rise in editing over time. Other users who aren't doctors are also welcome to contribute to this discussion. --Tom (LT) (talk) 22:38, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
The more I think about it the more I think we should merge - mesenteric organ is ambiguous (can refer to organs attached to mesentery) and hence confusing and not universally used anyway. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 00:22, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

Proposed merge with Mesenteric organ

Duplicates scope of "mesentery" article. ("The human mesentery...") Tom (LT) (talk) 22:38, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

Support this merge and others above. The first sentence of lead states.. The human mesentery or mesenteric organ... Iztwoz (talk) 17:38, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
Agree - "mesenteric organ" an uncommon term and mainly used to make this distinction here. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 20:11, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
Support All Mergers Listed on this Page: the information is redundant HoneyBadger4 (talk) 17:54, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Having had a look here: Mesenteric_organ#Embryology it's clear that this was taken from another source, so I'm going to refrain from merging these articles until the copyright situation is clearer. --Tom (LT) (talk) 22:30, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
The word "mesentery" has a much wider meaning than is currently used in this article. It is used for certain sheets of living tissues in sea anemones, corals and other invertebrates.
This definition of Mesentery is much wider than that used in our article but still only refers to human anatomy and excludes the rest of the animal kingdom. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:43, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

Proposed merge with Ventral mesentery

Needless fragmentation, easily presented in a single article, benefits readers by ensuring topic only on a single page Tom (LT) (talk) 16:39, 26 February 2016 (UTC)

Proposed merge with Dorsal mesentery
