Page created[edit]

This page is intended to function as an introduction to and survey of the genres and known examples of indigenous mesoamerican literatures and also to function as a hub for wikipedia pages related to this subject. It shouldn't include mesoamerican literature not in indigenous languages although it does include indigenous languages written in latin script. All help expansion and fix ups are welcome. I will continue work on it tomorrow. Now I need som sleep. Maunus 21:18, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And a most accomplished and very welcome contribution it is, Maunus. Very well done indeed, with this great start it will now be much easier to link together in narrative form a number of existing subarticles which are presently isolated, and provide the inspiration to create new ones for missing subtopics. Nice work!--cjllw | TALK 13:15, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there no mention of the Codex Chugüilá? It was discovered just recently and dated to the 1650's: http://www.jornada.unam.mx/2005/06/13/a07n1cul.php — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.39.247.36 (talk) 03:56, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removed Native American literature[edit]

I created a new article for Native American literature, if anyone here wants to edit that as well. Thanks. Aristophanes68 (talk) 01:33, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
