References[edit]

I pulled these from the references section, because neither are direct references for any of the info in the article, however, they do have useful info burried in some of the subpages. So, if anyone wants to dig through it and add direct references from these that would be helpful: http://www.metallography.com , http://www.struers.com/metalogguide --Wizard191 (talk) 17:49, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tissue paper in metallography???[edit]

How come there are 3 (threee!) pictures of a tissue paper in an article about metallography? I would like to delete them, if there are no objections (in a week or two). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chivesud (talkcontribs) 01:01, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree--tissue isn't metal. However, it does do a very good job of demonstrating the effects of different illumination schemes. Doubtful you could find a better set of "metallography" photos to illustrate that. ahdickson@yahoo.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.60.152.106 (talk) 19:26, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

3 pictures about Preparing metallographic specimens[edit]

I think it should be relevant to add 3 pictures in this article : The polishing machine, the cutting machine and the diamand disc. Preparing specimens is so important in metallography and it is very specific.
