Split Meteors

[edit]

Section Meteoroid#Meteors would stand alone perfectly fine. fgnievinski (talk) 04:43, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Units

[edit]

In the United States we do not use kilometers, we use miles. Besides the units that you are already using, you need to have miles for altitude, miles per second for speed, etc.

You are misusing velocity for speed. Velocity is speed with direction. 173.233.167.50 (talk) 16:21, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Escape velocity is independent of direction. Terminal velocity is understood to always be in the direction of gravity, i.e., "down". The U.S. customary unit for speed is miles per hour, not miles per second. The U.S. customary unit for altitude is feet, not miles. Geogene (talk) 18:20, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
