Miami Shores

[edit]

The only issue I have with a list like this is that it seems to me that eventually each building will merit an article or at least part of an article. Unless they were all built at the same time by the same person and served the same functions, thus having the same history, then one article would suffice. I also wonder, this is kind of off the article subject but related, if there is a better map to use. One of Florida would be much better, in fact state maps would be much better overall. Not to be nitpicky but I know where Miami is, so do most, a state map would really be much more encyclopedic.A mcmurray 17:33, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was actually going to create individual articles for each, when I discovered the concept of listifying. It made sense with this one, since they're all Building at. I figure when they're House at or Building at, they're not distinctive enough for separate recognition. Also got to understand more about the Multiple Property Submission concept, which only made the list thing seem more sensible. This way there's at least some info about the places, and if it turns out that any of them are notable in and of themselves, then individual articles can be created. By someone else, yo. :)
As to the map, I kinda agree. I just never got around to figuring out how to use the Florida map instead. It was sorta "go with what you know". I know one of the Texas folks uses state maps for their NRHP articles. Hm, maybe I should take a closer look... --Ebyabe 14:39, 19 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]
