Dunder Mifflin

[edit]

I am going through several articles and changing instances of "Dunder-Mifflin" to "Dunder Mifflin" (no hyphen) as it is the proper "spelling" of the company name (see Talk page at Dunder Mifflin). Just leaving a note to say that I've gone through this page. :) Fieryrogue 16:18, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GA Review

[edit]
This review is transcluded from Talk:Michael's Birthday/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

Looking good. Some suggestions:

  • Kevin spends the day waiting to see if he has skin cancer - maybe "waiting to find out"?

  • Could you incorporate something about the reception into the lead?
Done
  • which puts a smile on Carol's face - "which makes Carol smile"? Simpler.
Changed --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 01:35, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Pam expresses her feelings on the "great day" - what does this mean? What are Pam's feelings, or are they simply that she believes it is a great day? Maybe reword this.
How 'bout now? --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 01:35, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Plot section uses "ice skating" while Production uses "ice-skating" with a hyphen. Change either to the other for consistency.
Changed production one. --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 01:35, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • It's fine to say that Nancy Walls is Steve Carell's wife, but the fact that they met in one of his classes is pretty trivial and irrelevant to the rest of the article.
Removed --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 01:35, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Michael Sciannamea of TV Squad wrote that the episode "simply the best one yet" - "the episode was..."
Added --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 01:35, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done (I keep forgetting that it has its own article) --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 01:35, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 01:35, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • TV.com (ref 1) is not considered a WP:RELIABLE source as it is user-edited, so should be removed. It doesn't need to be replaced; the episode itself verifies this fact.

That's about all. You've got a week to make changes while the article's on hold, so good luck. —97198 talk 01:27, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome, thanks for taking care of everything. And who needs a week on hold when the changes are done in 10 minutes? :) Nice work, I'll pass it. —97198 talk 03:58, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
