This is basically the biographical sketch that Barrett uses on his books. I've just cited the GRS website because the information could be more easily checked there. I'd call your attention to the fact that the GRS site includes neither Barrett's middle names nor his date of birth. I've rephrased and made the source more encyclopedic where I could, but it's difficult to change (without sounding silly) such a white-bread sentence as "For almost thirty years, he was professor of Ancient Languages and Old Testament Theology and Interpretation at Bob Jones University." In any case, tell me what you don't like, and I'll try to rewrite it. I assume no argument about notability is being made.--John Foxe (talk) 20:11, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
In passing, there's at least one, and perhaps two, unnecessary commas in the "hangon" box.--John Foxe (talk) 20:19, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
- You shouldn't rewrite each sentence - this makes it a derivative work, which is also covered by the copyright of the author of the original. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 11:49, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- Have I changed the article enough now? If not, how specifically could it be improved to avoid being considered derivative?--John Foxe (talk) 14:55, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Fundamentalist individual?
[edit]Hi everyone,
I see that this article is part of Category:Christian fundamentalism. Are there any references that say he is a fundamentalist Christian?
