Nationality[edit]
Is he really American? Because he was born in London, to Dutch émigrés, and grew up in the Netherlands. – (empoor) 13:45, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Background[edit]
"Lynton was born in England in 1960 after his family escaped Nazi Germany" -- They only escaped in 1960? MalcolmSpudbury (talk) 06:23, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
Neutrality[edit]
This article is filled with words clearly showing a non-neutral point of view: "Under the leadership of Lynton and Co-Chairman Amy Pascal, Sony Pictures' Motion Pictures Group has enjoyed a remarkable run in the past several years".
Also, the article includes far too much information on Sony Pictures itself. I suggest that the entire career portion be deleted as the summary covers most of the relevant information about Michael Lynton. Prudhommea (talk) 22:51, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
I agree. This sound like a press release -- who cares about his LEED buildings done by somebody else? If I knew how to mark it for deletion, I would -- this guy is not exactly Harvey Weinstein. IvyGold (talk) 01:55, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
This article, like quite a lot of articles on Hollywood leaders, seems to have been the target of a campaign over years to highlight the "Jewishness" of Hollywood leaders, however thin, particularly by leading the biographical sections with their religious origins (how often does "to a Christian family" show up in wikipedia anywhere? It looks like the answer is 26 compared to over 2000 for Jews). Of course, as prominent Jews (assuming they identify that way), these articles should be category tagged, but this pattern of leading with their Jewishness seems to be antisemetic and very much breaks WP:NPV. Paid editing to this article[edit]
It was revealed in the latest Signpost that this very article has been edited by Sony to slant opinion in favor of Lynton, the CEO. These edits were made by user Monstermike99, including Lynton's supposed love for the environment. These edits haven't been reversed yet, and I'm not sure what the procedure for this is. Any opinions? 128.84.126.107 (talk) 02:05, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
