[edit]I think his date of death, February 21, 2006, should be left out until he officially dies. Also, I don't understand why it said his birthdate was placed as September, when the number 10 signifies October. TripleH1976 02:50, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
Where was Michael Morales born?
[edit]There's no history anywhere on where he was born, maybe where he grew up, etc.. Is that information available? Neither of the external links seem to have it.
Questionable evidence
[edit]Isn't it true that the informant whose testimony got Morales put onto death row claimed that he and Morales discussed the crime in Spanish, and the fact that it later turned out Morales couldn't speak Spanish is what made his appeal and its subsequent refusal more publicised? I'm basing that on an article in The Guardian on monday. 86.20.231.125 16:08, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

Confused by introduction
[edit]It says "Morales has been convicted of murdering 17-year-old Terri Winchell on January 8, 1981, a crime to which it is claimed he has confessed. Winchell was in a love triangle with a cousin of Morales, Richard Ortega, and another man. Ortega asked Morales to kill Winchell so that Ortega could have exclusive relations with his lover. According to prosecutors, Morales attacked Winchell from behind and tried to strangle her with his belt." It is not clear to me from this passage whether Ortega is a necrophiliac, or a homosexual, and even if it weren't for the ambiguity, either possibility seems unlikely enough to warrant explicit clarification on its own. Furthermore, these two sentences are also confusing/contradictory:
1) "Michael Angelo Morales has been convicted of murdering 17-year-old Terri Winchell on January 8, 1981, a crime to which it is claimed he has denied."
2) "Morales has not denied that he committed the crime."
