Several wrongly cited statements or statements with lack of citation

[edit]

I've removed the claim that he took part in "developing the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)", as I can find no mention of this, both searches in google and in literature databases revealed nothing of support for this claim.

"He is an advocate and authority on environmental issues and alternative energy technology.", the references for this are not adequate. One of them is a deleted page. Another of them is a page for an alternative approach to medicine, which contains no information on environment or alternative energy technology; it's a link to visitor speaker.

"He serves as a guest professor at the Solutions Science Research Laboratory at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, University of Japan, one of the world’s foremost institutions in its field." is removed considering their page http://www.ssr.titech.ac.jp/english/member.html contained no information about this. A search on their site for "Michael Nobel" returned zero results.

The list goes on and on. In general I think the biographical article on Michael Nobel is filled with claims that have wrong references (e.g. the reference for his thesis contained no information about any thesis, but instead was a webpage writing "about Michael Nobel"). There are many circular references, i.e. the article referred to sites which claim similar ideas, also without references, and the sites were often no longer available or seemed to be of dubious credibility.

I think the article about Michael Nobel must undergo a complete revision and increasingly contain citable claims when it comes to awards and his claimed importance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Renukwo (talkcontribs) 13:25, 4 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Albert Einstein Medal

[edit]

I removed the claim that he had won an Albert Einstein Medal; he does not appear on the list on the site of the organization which gives those awards. Other awards cited to his official biography should be considered carefully; that first person source would not meet our WP:RS requirements. --Nat Gertler (talk) 02:17, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
